Happy Australia Day.

Happy Australia Day to everyone, I hope you have a great long weekend. We just had a quiet one. DH bought himself a new motor bike and picked it up Sat morning, he was very excited. Its a lovely colour, it goes from purple to blue glitter as it hits different parts of the sun. He's out riding now.

In SA were about to have a heat wave three days at 40degrees we haven't really had much hot weather so far, but it was about to come.

I did a bit of scrapping and this is a layout of our first house. It cost us 45,000 and we had a 38,ooo mortgage which at the time was an enormous amount how were we going to manage? Now my son David is looking to buy a house with a 250,ooo mortgage both at the low end of the market.

I took Ben to the local swimming pool, he loved playing in the kiddies pool, I took a few photos, but as we were leaving there was a big sign as you enter saying not to take photos. I didn't see it and none of the life guards said anything.

the new motorbike

it comes with radio, CD player and CB radio.

Layout

Here is a layout that I scraplifted from Kathie Link nearly a year ago, I saw it on her blog and I thought I would put mine up to show her. Its from a Designing Memories kit, the picture is of Bens first haircut, just before he turned two.

Some layouts

These are the layouts that I forgot to add to the last post. I've been using a lot of my stash lately and actually enjoying using it. I'm making a dent in my embellishments, but the paper that's another story lol.

Last summer at the beach using up some of my stash.

Brewery light display.

Ben's never been afraid of Santa and always willing to sit on his lap.

Bye for now.

I'm back

Hi, I hope everyone had a great Christmas and a Happy New Year. I wasn't going to do my blog anymore because I didn't think my layouts were good enough and my life was not interesting enough for a blog, but I changed my mind and thought what the heck so I thought I would give it another go.
We had a very good Christmas and New Year, but glad its over and thing are getting back to normal. DH is back at work today, middle son David was supposed to start work today, but had an accident with a go kart Saturday and had 7 stitches in his leg at the back near his calf. Its not too bad, but sore.
My oldest son Raymond graduated from university with a degree in computer science, we went to his graduation at the Adelaide university, it was lovely with the old buildings and all the ceremony. He is going back next year to do his honours. We are very proud of him.

Raymond, Scott and Ben
Scott's Christmas work dinner was at an Abba tribute show, they wern't too bad, but knowing all the song made them a bit better.

I thought there might be more costume changes, they changed outfits twice.

Christmas eve we went to the brewery Christmas light display. The brewery put on a light display every year on the edge of their building along part of the river Torrens.

Christmas day we opened all the presents and went to SIL for lunch, it was good not having to cook all I had to do was make a trifle. I didn't even have to wash the dishes.

Having a sneak peek at all the presents.

Afterwards their was wrapping paper everywhere.

and last but not least me.

All these pictures and I forgot to add some layouts, I will save them for next time.
